Internal balances are reconciled automatically

With fourteen subsidiaries, Lunds Energikoncernen AB has thousands of items to keep track of every month. Just finding all the numbers to be reconciled took one day per month. After only six months, that has been reduced to one hour.

“We used to reconcile all interactions and transactions between companies in Excel. It was extremely hard work. We have made huge time savings by starting to reconcile automatically,” says Ann Kristin Jürs, an economist in charge of the group’s business systems.

Adra Match Accounts was installed in December 2010 solely to reconcile internal balances. Since then, the program has been enhanced and adjusted to the rules and parameters used for its purpose.

“We have still not got reconciliation time down to the minimum, but with the new version AMA 13, we expect that will soon be the case,” says Ann-Kristin Jürs.

What are the main benefits of using Adra Match Accounts for the reconciliation of internal balances?

“Apart from saving time, it’s much easier to find the records which match. The program also provides useful information in the form of neat and orderly reports that are easy to understand! And I think it is superb that we can pick out and use the information during a period. I firmly believe that we will benefit from the program in other reconciliation areas!”
